I was born and raised in Vinton, IA. From the age of 7, I wanted to be a nurse and “help” people. I started at Windsor Manor in 2010 as the Director of Health & Wellness. I jumped from a career as a labor & delivery nurse into geriatric care and never looked back. I love the relationships created in the assisted living setting that I could never create in a 12-hour hospital shift. In 2016, I added the role as Executive Director under my belt. Being both director and RN allows me to encompass all areas of elderly care and follow my dream.
I am married with four children and continue to live in Vinton. I love the small-town community and relationships that I have with the doctors, nurses, our local hospital, and clinics. These relationships allow me to provide exceptional care to our residents.
It is a privilege and honor to be allowed to care for our elderly population. Every day I’m focused on promoting their autonomy and freedoms as they transition into this new phase of their lives. I thank them for choosing me to be part of their lives. I look forward to continuing this journey with them.
